As you can probably tell by the amount of blog entries I have which are links tagged as Firefox:toolbar (or not) the Del.icio.us bookmarks extension for firefox has seriously evolved, giving Firefox the sort of functionality rival browser Flock has. As you should know Del.icio.us (yup that’s all you need to type in) is a place to store and add on-line bookmarks. Now if you have a work computer that’s a hotdesk, a PC at home and a Mac laptop you want to keep track of what you are looking at and delicious is how. The new extension is a way to replace your computers bookmarks with your delicious one’s thereby syncing the bookmarks of every computer you work with. Don’t worry you can always switch back if you don’t get on with it.
The default view is all your tags and if like me you tag like crazy this can get a bit messy, but if you switch to the firefox toolbar view you can personalise even further. Everything you want immediate access too (Your links bar) can be put up simply by tagging it as Firefox:toolbar. It’s easier to do than explain so head on over to here and have a play around remember you can always uninstall it and go back to how it was. If you dont have a del.icio.us account yet head here to get one it’ll change the way you use the net, (honest).
